Pre-selection tests for students in Level-1, and Term-1 in different departments under different faculties in the Bangladesh University of Engineering in the 2024-25 academic year/session will be held on2024, and the final admission test on 2024.

A total of 1215 students can be admitted per session in BUET. Architecture engineering is a five-year course. And the others need four years to complete graduation. There are five faculties in BUET.
Faculties of Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Architecture Engineering. All of the faculties have separate departments. Here is the table of the seat system of BUET.

The interested applicant has to apply for admission to BUET online. Go to the official website of BUET (buet.ac.bd). Please fill out the online application form with valid information and submit it.
After that, you will get an Application Serial no. You have to pay your admission fees through Mobile Banking (Sonali Bank/ Nagad/ Rocket/ bKash) and any online mobile pay against the application serial no.

Candidates for two sections, “K” and “KHA,” have to pay a separate application fee. Not the same amount for everyone. Here is the difference between ‘KA’ and ‘KHA.’

You will get the application form on the official website of BUET. Interested candidates have to fill up the application carefully with valid information. After completing the application form and submit, you will get an Application serial number. This serial number will be needed for payment of the application fee. The applicant needs these to fill up the application form.
After publishing the eligible applicant list, the eligible applicants can get the PDF card form by clicking on the “Download Admit Card” and visiting the university’s website. Then print it on white paper in A4 format.
For the different departments of the University’s five faculties, the electrical examination will be held in four shifts under the following two groups for four days.

There will be 400 marks on the written exam for the group “KA” and 650 marks on the written exam for the main exam. The details are given below.

In BUET admission, paying the fee is very simple, and there is no hassle. You may pay the fee through the Sonali Bill/(নগদ)/bKash/Rocket App/Nexus Pay. Only 26 international students will be able to admit and study in an academic session. A maximum of 10 students from a single country and 5 students in a single department will be allowed.
Candidates having SSC and HSC or their equivalent examination (i.e., not GCE “O” and “A” level) must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum TOEFL score of 60. You will get all the information in the attached notice below of this article about eligibility for admission to BUET.
The application for admission must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s own country. It will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education of the Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. Then the application form will be forwarded to the Register, BUET.
SAARC countries applicants will be charged as per the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh regulations for tuition and other fees. For non-SAARC countries, the student admission fee will be US$200 and the course registration fee US$50 per credit hour. All additional costs are the same as for Bangladeshi students.
Before applying for admission, the applicant has to carefully look over the prospectus because 1-12,000 applicants will sit in the admission test and fill out their admission form correctly.
