Jashore University of Science and Technology shortly JUST is a public Science and Technology University established on 25 January 2007. JUST, a government-financed university is the 4th public university in Khulna Division and the first public university in Jashore that started its four-year undergraduate courses from the 2008–2009 session.
About 4000 students study here from around the country. JUST fosters new ideas and innovation in science and technology in a knowledge-based culture of excellence to serve the nation and the world in the 21st century with the motto ‘being the employer, not the employee.

JUST University started its operation in 2008, and the academic year is 2008-09 with the four departments were Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Environmental Science & Technology (EST), Microbiology (MB), and Fisheries and Marine Bioscience (FMB) and Nutrition & Food Technology (NFT), Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), Chemical Engineering (ChE), Petroleum & Mining Engineering (PME), and Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (GEBT) in 2009. Finally, all the departments have been opened here in this university.
The Jashore University of Science and Technology location is 35 acres, Jashore-7408, Bangladesh. The university is beside Churamonkathi to Chaugaccha road. JUST has a huge body that spreads about 35 acres of land.
